What is INCOSE?
The About INCOSE section of the website available on the horizontal navigation bar provides a brief overview of the organization as well as links to information about the organization and the leadership directory.

What is Systems Engineering?
A brief definition is available; a more in-depth discussion by INCOSE Fellows is also available.

Where can I receive Systems Engineering education or training?
Systems Engineering is offered at the undergraduate and graduate level in many universities and colleges worldwide. The INCOSE Education and Research Technical Committee (ERTC) maintains a directory of educational institutions offering systems engineering degrees and certificates that is continually updated.

The ERTC also maintains information about resources for short courses and tutorials in systems engineering-related topics.

Where can I find the latest systems engineering standards?
Technical organizations such as the International Organization for Standardization, IEEE, AIAA, Software Engineering Institute and others create and publish standards that support systems engineering. INCOSE actively participates in a number of these standards development efforts. In addition, the INCOSE Standards Technical Committee maintains a standards update for quick reference.

Where can I find systems engineering software?
The INCOSE Tools Database Working Group (TDWG) maintains a web-based listing of tools that support systems engineering processes from requirements management, systems architecting, and metrics to general purpose tools.

Where can I find out more about systems engineering certification?
The Certification section of the website provides all the latest information including its own comprehensive list of FAQs.

How can I contact an INCOSE officer?
The Leadership Directory provides contact information for officers and other INCOSE leaders.

Who is responsible for the INCOSE website?
The INCOSE Communications Director (CommsDir@incose.org) has responsibility for the website with the assistance of the Webmaster (webmaster@incose.org).

How do I change my personal information in the INCOSE membership database?
INCOSE members can change their personal information (name, address, phone, email address, employer, chapter affiliation, etc.) by contacting the INCOSE Central Office in writing. You may submit changes via email to info@incose.org or send a request via mail/post to INCOSE, 7670 Opportunity Rd, Suite 220, San Diego, CA 92111-2222, USA.

How do I login to areas on the INCOSE website only available to members?
Click on the Member Login button at the top of the INCOSE home page. If you have difficulty gaining access to this area, contact the Communications Director (CommsDir@incose.org) or the Webmaster (webmaster@incose.org).

What's my INCOSE member number?
Your member number is on your membership card. If you have misplaced your card, your chapter membership chair should be able to help you.

How do I renew my INCOSE membership online?
Follow instructions on your billing statement, call INCOSE Central (+1 858-541-1725 or 800-366-1164 (toll-free U.S.)), or renew online. To renew online or over the phone, you will need a credit card.

How do I join INCOSE online?
You can join online using the Join INCOSE button. Fill in the form and checkout using your credit card. On the form, choose the chapter that best suits your needs. You can learn more about each chapter by visiting either Find a Chapter or the Chapter Websites listing.

How do I get on a particular chapter's mailing list?
Contact the chapter president of the particular chapter.

Who are my chapter contacts?
You will find your chapter president listed on the Find a Chapter page. Other chapter points of contact are available on individual Chapter Websites.

How do I get involved in INCOSE activities?
To get involved at the local level, contact your chapter president or attend a meeting and ask about the opportunities. Or check into technical efforts working toward advancing the practice and contact any technical committee or working group chair. Chapters and committees always welcome volunteers.

Where do I find the INCOSE Systems Engineering Handbook?
Section 1.2.6 on the Member CD, INCOSE Technical Products has both Version 2 and 2a of the Handbook. Version 2a is the basis for the Certified Systems Engineering Professional examination. It is also available in the Members Only area. Find the INCOSE Products section. You will find download instructions and restrictions on reproduction.

The Technical Board, Technical Committees, and Working Groups are the volunteers groups within INCOSE focusing their technical efforts toward advancing the practice. Contact any technical committee or working group chair to find out more.
