Possible Future Levels of Certification

Beyond the core knowledge covered in the CSEP level, INCOSE certification also allows for extensions to cover specific disciplines in more detail. The Acquisition (Acq) extension has been retired. Other extensions will be considered in th future. These will be proposed by the Certification Adivisory Group, submitted to the INCOSE Board of Directors, and then announced via the public web site. Some examples of extensions under consideration include the following:

  • System Safety
  • System Security
  • Requirements
Extensions may also be established for various domains or countries to focus attention on the unique aspects of systems engineering in those arenas.
